Dutch Board of Fire Brigade Examinations (Nbbe) – virtual examination

The most important basic functions of XVR are the possibility of choosing a virtual environment and placing virtual incident objects, incident professionals, and rescue vehicles in these environments (by drag & drop). The options for instructors are enhanced with a 3D-screen for the instructor and the possibility of assigning tasks to virtual safety and security professionals. This was exactly what the Nbbe wanted.

The extra functionalities that the Nbbe wanted were build in the existing XVR software and existing examination environments were changed to XVR technology with some Nbbe extensions. The Nbbe is now capable of building scenario’s in virtual environments. Also the judging system “Exam Manager” is enlarged with several functions, for example the transportation of data to “myNbbe”, the online student following system of the Nbbe.
