AFS The location of AFS bv at the airport is located in the "Airside" part of the international Schiphol Airport and is part of the Dutch vital infrastructure, so high demands are placed on the security and incident prevention. Because kerosine is being stored and distributed from this location, there is an increased security thread. E-semble has put the location of AFS at Schiphol in 3D in close cooperation with our partner BSS Holland bv, using aerial photography and laser scanning technology. For this special setting new virtual items like tanks, special engines, staff and vehicles of the gendarmerie and regional buses were created. The 3D model with the corresponding objects can be used in the simulation program XVR. In the virtual environment different security measures can be added, moved or removed, such as fences and CCTV cameras. After a security design is built into the virtual environment, one can start a virtual incident so that a training can be performed. The virtual incident scenarios can also be used for multi-disciplinary exercises, by for example military and emergency services in the near region.
