Command and control exercise in Östra Götaland, Sweden

On January 26, 2010, the Fire–Rescue Services of the Östra Götaland region, Sweden, conducted a command and control exercise. The purpose was to train alert procedures and command and control in case of a major accident. Our partner, VSL provided support for scenario presentation, observation and evaluation.

The exercise scenario was a train accident, which had been constructed in a virtual environment using XVR. The incident commander's appraisal of the virtual accident formed the basis for reporting to the command post and the formation of the response operation.

VSL also chaired the feedback session with participants and exercise staff.
