E-Semble consists of a multidisciplinary team with expertise and experience in the areas of:

E-Semble is located in Delft, the Netherlands, hometown of the Delft University of Technology. E-Semble team members also work in United Kingdom, United States and France.

The team is managed by:

Joost Beerthuis, M.Sc.
Managing Director
Joost Beerthuis is responsible for the daily Leadership and grow of E-Semble. After graduating with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Joost Beerthuis earned an MBA. After his role as Chemical Adviser at Havenbedrijf Rotterdam, Joost first became the General Manager Safety Division at Draeger Netherlands, and then the Managing Director at Falck Risc. He is responsible for guiding the day to day business and for organizational growth of E-Semble.

Martijn Boosman, M.Sc.
Founder and Director of Sales and Business Strategy
Martijn Boosman is an expert in designing and developing computer supported teaching and learning tools. He studied at the University of Technology in Delft. His work as a volunteer for the Dutch Red Cross formed the basis for his interest in education and training emergency service professionals. Martijn is also visiting lecturer at the Free University of Brussels and the University of Eastern Piedmont, Italy, on the topic of using simulation technology in disaster management research and training.

Steven J. Lohman, B.Sc.
Co-founder and Director of Products and Services
Steven Lohman studied business economics in Amsterdam. After his graduation, he worked in Geneva with the Disaster Management Training Program (OCHA) of the United Nations. He then returned to the Netherlands for a position as manager for an international conference on disaster management, organised by the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.

Floris Jan van Brederode, M.Sc.
Director of Technology & Research

Floris Jan van Brederode studied computer science at Delft University. At a CMS company, where he worked for more than ten years, he was responsible for the Customer Care and Product Development department. He has now found his challenge at E-Semble, where he is responsible for the Production department.
